Apps & application areas

When it comes to licenses, it matters how many apps you want to develop and where they will be used.

With the Professional license, you can create as many applications as you want for your own business. Apps with the Enterprise license can also be distributed to third parties.

Camera Scan

The functions Camera Scan and DPM Scan require licenses for the CortexDecoder from CODE Corp.

You can get them through us as well.



Hardware

Our RFID and Legacy plugin support Zebra devices.

The CIDPrint plugin is compatible with label printers by SATO, Intermec and Zebra.

How much does the licensing cost?

The costs for the CaptureID SDK depend individually on the selected functions. Both the SDK licenses and the decoder licenses are based on an annual subscription for 3 or 5 years. Please get in touch with us for further information.

Can I change my license package later?

Yes, you can.

Are there any limitations on the licenses?

Yes, the Lite license model is designed for one app only that you or external companies (third parties) can use. With the Professional license, you can develop as many apps as you want that are exclusively accessible to your own company. Both the number of apps and the application areas are unrestricted only with our Enterprise license.

How do I get a trial license and for how long can I use it?

You can request your trial license here any time and use it for at least 30 days.

What is CaptureID?

CaptureID is a software development kit (SDK) for Android and iOS apps.
Capture ID lets you scan barcodes in your app using a mobile device’s camera, capture RFID tags using an RFID reader, and print labels on mobile or stationary printers.

Why do I need a SDK?

CaptureID offers many useful functions around mobile data capturing and helps you to develop your own apps in a timely and uncomplicated way. Combined with our augmented reality feature, your apps become more visually appealing and optimize your company’s workflows.

What barcodes are supported?

CaptureID supports all common 1D and 2D barcodes.

What kind of service do I get?

We support you from the planning phase through the development to the successful launch of your project and are also happy to advise you on the selection of your hardware.

We also provide training for your development team or take over the programming of your custom app.

What devices are compatible with CaptureID?

The apps developed with CaptureID are compatible with mobile devices with Android 4.4+ or iOS 7+. This includes all smartphones, tablets or MDE devices that have a camera or an integrated scan engine from Zebra (EMDK 7.x ready).

What support is available to me?

Depending on the license model, we offer different support options. Our Developer Portal is constantly growing and provides documentations, tutorials and explanations of specific functions. You can also contact our team via our Support Center.

With our Development Support (Professional and above) we actively support you in the development of your app and with the Enterprise license you get live remote support.
